Exclude child category files from data-table

Hello,
I am using WP-Filebase to display file lists as data-table on my pages. The pages are organized in a tree in the same way the file categories are, so each page has a corresponding category (some shown via shortcode, some not). On the lowest level, some pages display multiple lists, each from one child category.
The problem is: Parent pages also show the files from all child pages. How can I tell WP-Filebase to not include files from child categories in the files list?
