Exclude Category based on post type

  • Hello, can anyone help me to know how can I show/hide certain categories on the edit post page when creating/editing a post. I have setup several post types and I need only to show some categories per each post type basis, so the user always apply the correct categories to each post.
    Is there any hook to do this?
    Please any idea will be appreciated.
