Hi, i wanted to know if we can exclude a particular product ID? Or an array of products or may be specific product category.

This is because I have a category and subcategory as following :
    Tablets
    – As-New Tablets
    – 6-8″,
    – Above 8″,
    – Apple Ipad,
    – Android Tablets,
    – Samsung Tablets

I want to show the addons on Tablets categories but excluding the As-new Tablets. Is it possible? How do I do it?

If possible array of product IDs, even better.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi,

    You have 2 options.

1.) You can add the form to sub-categories only without As-new tablets. But don’t assign it to the main category tablets. Then it won’t show on the As-new tablets.

2.) You can add the form to the main category Tablets. But you need to exclude the form from all the products in the As-new tablets. The option to exclude globally assigned forms is given in the single product edit section(Product Data -> Custom Product Options -> Exclude/Override Globally assigned forms), Tick it.

If you are using Pro version you have an option to hide the fields from the specific product IDs using conditional logic.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the reply.

I exactly configured as per your point one.
Point two is more manual job. Just a thought! This may be something you should consider in your future updates.

Yes, a more flexible way of assigning fields to products would be ideal. WC Fields Factory’s and/+or rules are great and very flexible but that plugin seems to now be unsupported.

I personally have a situation where I depend on categories for something else and don’t want to create new, arbitrary ones for this.
