Exclude Categories not working

Thanks for the great plugin!

I seem to be able to exclude a list of page IDs without problem. However, when I put any valid category ID number into the Exclude Categories field, my internal searches produce no results for any search on any other categories (and I’ve verified them to have associated posts). I tried removing all individual page IDs in case that was a conflict, but no change.

I’m using the current versions of WP, Genesis, Dynamik, Beaver Builder, Search Everything.
