Exclude categories from display in Widget

  • I am using the”List Category Posts” widget (Appearance > Widgets).
    When I put in a category ID to exclude it from the results, nothing is excluded.
    It calls for IDs.
    I tried ID numbers, I tried names, neither worked.
    I tried a single ID and multiple IDs. Did not work.
    I tried different IDs (in case I had put a wrong ID in.)

    It shows all the categories perfectly, but will not exclude any categories.

    Order Descending
    Exclude categories (ids’s) 115
    Exclude posts IDs none

    Date ticked
    Link to category ticked
