Exclude a product from a shipping zone

    Hi guys,

    i want to apply some reseller restrictions to some products :

    i’m allowed to sell one particular brand (let say Brand A) in only one of my shipping zones (paris region) because the brand has other resellers in other regions.

    i’m also selling other products france-wide (let’s say Brands B, C, D).

    my goal is to exclude Brand A products from shipping when the user is not in paris region, but still allow the user to order brands B C D products)

    how can i achieve this with fish and ships ?

    Hi, @nicowob123! Thank you for your interest.

    You can setup a first shipping zone “Paris” and a second one (so important: below Paris) “France”.

    In France, you need to discriminate products from brand A, you can use shipping class, category or tag, with a exclusion rule:

    WHERE In shipping class “Brand A” Abort shipping method.

    …and if there isn’t any shipping method available, your customer can’t purchase the product.

    Here are what you can do with FnS free. With Pro, you can:

    1. Add a message explaining it, which only will be shown when the ban condition meet:

    What do you can’t do in any case with Fish and Ships is remove automatically the product of “brand A” from the cart, your customers must do it manually

    Hi,

    thank you for your answer. i’ve just bought FISH AND SHIPS PRO, but i’m facing a new issue : i need to display a message triggered by a specific shipping class, but my client wants the order button to go directly to the checkout page, without going to the cart page. how can i display my custom message into the checkout page ? thank you !

    (i’m contactiong you there because the support form has a recaptcha problem, you might want to solve ?? )

    not sure if this message will still come through but I would like to post a similar question.
    I have a product that I can’t ship to certain country, in this case Germany. How can I exclude that from being able to be shipped to Germany but have customers from other countries still be able to buy it AND have German customers be able to buy other items?

    Germany already has its own shipping zone, can I make an edit in there or do I need to make another ‘Germany zone’ and if so where do I place it and what rules do I need to use?
