    Hi @docinfo,

    Thank you for your message.

In the plugin settings, in the Advanced Settings section, you can specify the names of directories that you would like to exclude. Please enter the directory name there and save the changes before starting the image conversion process.

Hello, thanks for your really fast reply.

So if i choose the “uploads” folder to be otimized and added the “foldername” to the exlusion, it just skips the one in there right?

    Awesome.

And the other thing is, i’m using Siteground as hoster and i’m getting an error which you probably aware of because you added the info.

So i’m just curious if that causes speed issues, if i turn that NGINX Fast Delivery off.

    Kind Regards

Yes, of course. You are right.

Yes I know about it. All messages in the plugin are given intentionally. I don’t think disabling NGINX Fast Delivery should have any noticeable effect on your site.

Converting images to the WebP format allows you to significantly reduce their weight. However, converting the images to the AVIF format allows you to reduce their weight by an additional 40-50% compared to WebP. In total, it is up to 90% less weight than the original images. I think such a difference will be noticeable and will definitely increase the potential losses associated with disabling NGINX Fast Delivery.

As your plugin is the first which kinda works easy and don’t messes up things + your support was skyrocket fast i probably will get into the pro version. Thank you for your help!

Hello, i did buy now the first subscription to test it.

I did get my photos cleared to about 10.000 to not reach above the maximum. Now it says i have already reached my limit, even it says that it has skipped 2000 photos. That would be maximum 8.000 Photos. There is something wrong with this.

    Stats from the plugin dashboard:
    Erfolgreich konvertierte Dateien: 9 999
Fehlgeschlagene oder übersprungene Dateikonvertierungsversuche: 1 992

    Can you help me?

@docinfo It happens that images converted to WebP are not smaller than the original ones. Then such images are skipped. You don’t have to worry about it. This mostly applies to very small images or images that have previously been compressed. Skipped images do not use up your limit.

If you want to force all images to be available in WebP and AVIF, then in the plugin settings, in the Advanced Settings section, disable the “Automatic removal of files in output formats larger than the original ones” option.

Please remember that one image in the limit means one conversion process (not one file in the Media Library). All files on the disk are counted (e.g. files from the /uploads directory). One image on disk uses two conversion processes from your limit because it is converted to both WebP and AVIF. All images you have on your website (on the disk) are counted along with any other sizes generated by WordPress. One image in the Media Library means several or more than a dozen files in the /uploads directory, because WordPress automatically generates additional files from one uploaded file, in different sizes.
