• Hi,

Seems like exchangeratesapi.io now is owned by ApiLayer and has gone the same way as fixer.io and currencylayer.com (also owned and maintained by ApiLayer). So if you want to use another base currency you need to go for a payed plan.

Is there a plan to fix this with some other open API?

Hi @droneit, thanks for the update:

Actually, there a big shifts on WCML side as well. Even simply adding API Key stopped working and they told me, that in WCML 4.12 the Exchange rate API will be part of the service.

Adding another open API is an option, but on a quick check I haven’t found any that allows exchanges from different currencies other than EUR (or USD). And the second thing is money – I’m happy to implement new API if someone will sponsor that, otherwise I’m rather thinking about closing the plugin – it has so little users and I don’t need it personally that it doesn’t make too much sense.

    Best regards,
    Karolina
