Excessively long page loads after 3.8.2 update

  • Since the 3.8.2 update a couple days ago my site’s pages load incredibly slow. Well over 2 minutes to load the page. Includes loading the login page, submitting login page, accessing all admin pages, all posts. All plugins are up to date. My theme is a very basic child theme.

    Anyone else having this issue? Any resolutions?

  • I am doing some changes to a client’s WP web site and have been having issues since last night … main one is the web site and pages take way too long to load, and I get a message stating connection lost while trying to load pages in the admin area. I have not been able to do any work on the site at all today. UGH! I normally don’t use WP so I don’t want to do anything to mess up her web site. Lots of posts about probs from the update. Hoping to get a resolution soon.

    I disabled all plugins and my blog was speedy again and after activating one at a time it appeared w3 total cache was the problem. But then I reactivated it and it was still speedy. A few hours later and its a dog again. ugh!
