    Hi,

I’m a complete newbie however I set up a website using WordPress and the plugin Ultimate Member and a few of their extensions.

Shortly after the site was live it started having excessive MySQL queries on the server and making the site unresponsive.

I would be able to disable the plugins and fix the issue and narrowed it down to the UM core plugin. Logging the issue with them resulted in absolutely no result.

As time has gone on and the membership grown (around 1200 members) the excessive queries have grown until today my hosting company suspended my account as it was impacting their server.

Your account was Connecting over and over to the MySQL service causing problems for other users we have suspended the account to stop this.
20/2/17 – Suspended – Caused a MYSQL issue on this node due to excessive SQL queries. 1000’s of these:
    | 40977994 | arrangem_wp2 | syd-s32b.hosting-service.net.au:44019 | arrangem_wp2 | Query | 6693 | Waiting for table flush | SELECT umeta_id FROM wp_usermeta WHERE meta_key = ‘birthdate’ AND user_id = 1

Does anyone have any idea where to start in potentially fixing this issue?

I had created an exact copy of the site to play around with to try and fix it however this test site had no such issue.

I don’t know where to go from here…
