• Hi,

One of my WP installations is using 27.15Mb, with no plugins active (just WP Security Scan), default Twenty Ten 1.2 theme with no modifications or widgets used.

As it’s a localised version (es_ES) I deleted the lang files and turned it into a English wordpress. Memory usage goes down to 22.98Mb, but I think this is still too much.

Two of my WP installations, both localised in Spanish, both using the same plugins and custom themes, use just 18-19Mb. With the problematic one I had to change the PHP memory limit to 64M, but I don’t see what is this happening.

I thought the hosting could be the problem, but I’m trying it in local and everything runs the same way.

I’ve checked the MySQL and there is no overhead, so the tables should be optimised.

The blog is quite new, BUT I imported around 230 posts using a CSV Importer. Could this be a problem? Is WP using more memory because it has to load more posts, almost all of them full of crappy Word code?

I don’t know how the number of posts and its content (mostly images here) affects memory usage.

Other than that… no idea of what can be the problem. I’ve checked this forum several times, and google’d it, without luck.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Alex
