    Hi,

Since I use the review plugin it shows me on several page speed platforms, that the DOM is excessive, and this is unfortunately created by the review plugin.

Would you consider for future updates to make the number of elements less deep and make it cleaner? It shows me now depth of 29 for element <ol class="commentlist">

I use premium themes and page builders and they take care of this, but this aspect I can’t control unfortunately.

    With thanks,
    Demian

    Thanks for trying our plugin!

Can you please share URL of the page with the problem and let me know how to check it on one of the “page speed platforms” that you used for testing?

    Hi,

Please check this PageSpeed tool from Google, and look for Avoid an Excessive DOM size.

    https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?hl=en&url=https%3A%2F%2Feeltsokken.nl%2F

GTMetrix reports the same, but not specified the depth of the elements. Or you can use Lighthouse tool from DevTools.

    Thanks for providing additional information.

I checked your website and took a screenshot: https://ibb.co/30fTtPj

As you can see from the screenshot, the depth of the element <ol class="commentlist"> caused by the shortcode from our plugin is just 1. The rest of the depth is created by the theme even before the shortcode appears in the HTML.

Unfortunately, we can’t really reduce the depth of 1. So, I think the best way forward is to reach out to the developer of the theme used on your website and ask them to make it cleaner.

We haven’t heard from you for more than two weeks. For this reason, I’ll assume that either you are not interested in this question/problem anymore or it has been resolved. If this is not the case, please let us know and we’ll be happy to help.
