excessive CPU loads

  • I am running a WP site on a semi dedicated server and I have 20% CPU allocated to my site. I don’t get too much traffic but it is raising and I am using more than my allotted CPU usage.

    My question is this; is it normal for a WP site to use so much CPU resources? An example of my stats would be…

    1022 visitors CPU Usage 19.21%
    1282 visitors CPU Usage 18.05%
    1277 visitors CPU Usage 20.27%
    1565 visitors CPU Usage 26.28%

    I know that there won’t be much you can tell me but maybe someone can offer any suggestions on if these are normal percentage for CPU use?
