We were notified by our host (Kinsta) that Revisionary is causing havoc on our site. It looks like there is a process that takes 30+ seconds to complete and is bogging down the site making it unusable for a short time.

What’s the best way of troubleshooting this with you? We can get the Kinsta support team involved.

@lsilver If you can forward a PHP stack trace for that process, I’ll be glad to look into it. Please also give us a description of any Revisions settings you modified, along with any permissions customization. We have a more convenient support interface you can use by emailing [email protected]

Awesome, thanks. I’ll shoot you an email with details and likely CC Kinsta.

@lsilver The operation which your forwarded stack trace pointed to was a single redundant set_site_transient() call – an easy fix. This would only have a detrimental affect on sites running certain caching solutions.

Please update to PublishPress Revisions 2.1.7 and let us know if you can confirm that the performance issue is resolved.
