Excerpts on homepage

  • Hi,

    How do you activate the “read more” link in excerpts for the homepage? I cannot get any links to show so the user can continue reading the post?

    there are 2 ways to get this done

    • go to theme options page and enable “Automatic Excerpt In List Page”, this will use a Automatic Excerpt to all posts
    • use “more” tag in your post, this will effect the posts you edited.

    Thanks for the reply, however, it does not solve the issue.

    Maybe I didn’t explain it well. My excerpts are showing on the homepage but there is not “read more link” so the reader can click it and continue reading it.

    If I use the “more” tag, that only applies to posts without excerpts. What I want is for my excerpts to have a “read more” or continue reading link so the reader can click it and read the full article.

    Hi. can you post your Website URL here ？

    And what’s the settings for ‘Text for “Read More”‘ in theme options page ？ If its blank, just type sth here.

    The text for read more says this: [Read More…]

    The URL for the site is therankedreview.com

    I got it, you’re using the custom excerpt.

    Right?

    There is no “read more” or continue reading link in current version(1.2.9 or prior) of zAlive if you’re using custom excerpt.

    I’ll finish it in a few days in the next version ??

    New version(1.2.11) has solved this issue but it needs to be reviewed by admins, you can download it in developers tab
