• I’m trying to get something to work on my site, but I haven’t had much luck with it… hopefully someone here can help me out.
What I want to be able to do is, for all posts with something in the excerpt box, show only the excerpt and a (more…) link. That link would go to the post’s permalink and show the entire post. For posts without text in the excerpt box, I’d like it to show the entire post.
Does anyone have such a setup working on their site? If so, how did you accomplish it?

Hi, I am using this excerpt code on my site (https://www.plasticpattern.org/plastic/) but it does not seem to write good XHTML when I include <div>s in the excerpt. Is there any way to get it to behave?

I’m not sure… I don’t have any problems on my site with XHTML. It validates fine and appears as desired.
If you have more details, let me know.

do you know why I would get an error like this:
Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/madworld/public_html/my-hacks.php:3) in /home/madworld/public_html/wp-admin/templates.php on line 74
this isn’t just with templates – it’s with posting, etc etc. all changes made i get that returned error. it still MAKES the changes and posts – but it just returns with that.

    Check for whitespaces!

I’ve checked and re-checked and still nothing. It seems like it’s trying to do the same thing multiple times and i cannot figure out why

i got that error to quit by using the .htaccess code given in Registered Only Plugin — sorry for the problems !

I’m using this plug in on a private blog and it seems to work ok except…when try to logout it takes me to:

    https://mysite.com/wp-admin/post.php

So it takes me to the “post page.” And that’s where I’m able to logout. And when I do that the login page is visiblel but the url says:

    https://mysite.com/wp-admin/post.php

again, which means I have to delete “wp-admin/post.php to login again.
Any suggestions on how to fix this?
    Thanks!
