Excerpt which is image only linking to post?

  • how can I set a global rule for all posts to show the post image only as an Excerpt everywhere in the blog?

    I use only one image (400*400) at the start of every story ( writing website) this image is like a cover, so it’s more lovely when someone look covers and click on the one he like ?? I couldn’t achieve that, except by <–more–> tag manually, which put (more#37) or something like that in URL, a thing I want to avoid for easy link sharing.

    is there any plugin or a way to do that? ??

    today’s lesson, you better search for answers on WordPress codex rather than googling for hours with 5 years old results ??

    thanks to that page I removed the URL addition which <–more–> was causing, now I will manually do the more tag for every post after the image.

    if anybody can point me though, how to let the twenty eleven showcase page use the more tag with sticky posts? cause now it just ignore it and ignore the image except if I made a featured image, which I don’t want, any help about that? I just want the sticky posts in showcase to use to more tag and use the image only.
