Excerpt vs. Summary

Hi guys,

First of all, I really love this plugin and the way it streamlines the whole process of podcasting. Well done!

I’ve got one question, though. I’m showing blog posts with excerpts on my homepage. Whatever I enter in the episode “post” it also displays in excerpt format in the same way like my other posts. But as soon as I enter a summary for one of my episodes, the excerpt is overridden and the whole summary is displayed right on the homepage.

I like the summary function (because it adds info to the webplayer and feed) but I’d still like to continue using the normal wordpress excerpt function on my blog. Is there any way to force the excerpt even if summary is filled in? Or at least to limit the summary to a number of characters with a “read more” link?
