• I use Advanced-Excerpt-plugin. There is a good feature: Remove link if the whole post content shown . Unfortunately without effect under the theme.

Could this be done by simple day?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Please ask plugins author about plugins.

It is the same plugin whose excerpt option ‘finish by word’ simple day had not adopted. I asked about it under the topic ‘excerpt’. After that you expanded this option to simple day and it worked.

Therefore, I suspect that an additional in simple day is required so that the plugin option is taken over by this. Under the WP-standard-theme twenty nineteen the option Remove link if the whole post content shown of the Plugin (Advanced excerpt) is taken over. So I think it should be a question of simple day and not the plugin.

    Thank you very much!

My Plugin Advanced Excerpt remove the read more button when whole content of post is already displayed in the excerpt. So no further post page has to be called up. In this case the read more button in the excerpt should be hidden.
Under the WP-theme twenty nineteen it works, but not under simple day.

I posted an example for you on my site www aufstehensachsen.de. I would like to display this excerpt without read more button.

    Thank you.

Hidden of Read more button is already in customizer.
    Try it.

Yes, I know it. But this is only a global option for all posts.

What I mean is a hide option for one post if the whole content is shown already in his excerpt. In this case a read more button is nonsens, because there is no further page linked with more information. Everything is shown in the excerpt.

There should be a function that automatically hides the button if the number of words is less or equal to set for excerpt.
