• I’m struggling to format the elements on both the excerpt page and the full text page but I can’t seem to find anything. I’m using a mobile template so I thought all the switches etc would be in that directory to edit. The first image on the excerpt page is one size and diff on the full text page. Plus the fonts are diff from page to page, alignment is all messed up.

I would suggest to WordPress that it be setup with an excerpt.php file to edit all elements on the excerpt page and and fulltext.php page to edit all the elements on the full text page. This is really unweildy as hell trying to format both pages or even one page.

Does anyone have a legend that shows what files control what aspects of these pages?

    Thanks

  • It really would depend on the theme you’re using… The excerpt page as you call it is likely the archive.php file, but it could be something like category.php, archive.php or tag.php if the file exists. Look for instances of <?php the_excerpt(); ?> in your files and that should help.
