Hi, this plugin comes with my theme (eduma or educational WP) and I am trying it already. It is working well except the excerpts that I set in the settings is not showing. i already set “YES” to show excerpts. All it did is hide the content but now the page is blank, that looks confusing like an empty broken page. i want it to show something like this: https://www.paidmembershipspro.com/documentation/content-controls/with-shortcodes/

please note that I am using “page” and not “post”, not sure if this matters but I can see that the isntruction says post. won’t this work in page? thanks If yes, how come it is not showing on mine? What did I miss? thanks

    Hi @theresailetsprepare,

Thank you for using Paid Memberships Pro.

By default with Paid Memberships Pro, when restricting a page there are a couple of ways of doing so –

    1. Setting your page to require membership
    2. The shortcode [membership] as you mentioned.
    3. Using the pmpro_hasMembershipLevel() inside a theme template.

When using the shortcode, it’s ideal when you want to hide only a section of content for members. If the user does not have the required membership level, no content will be shown (this is expected behavior of the shortcode).

If you use method 1 in the list above, it will show that users are required to either signup for the correct level or login if they have an account with the excerpt included.

Moving over to method 1 should solve your issue, here is documentation on how to apply page restrictions in PMPro – https://www.paidmembershipspro.com/documentation/content-controls/for-pages/

    I hope this helps ??
