Excerpt not showing image

  • On the main blog page, I have the theme options set to excerpt for posts — but it just shows text and does not show the image within the post. What code could I add to show the full size image with the except?

    Hi,

    the post excerpts show only the first 40 words from each post (they do not keep any HTML markup). If you would like to display an image beside the excerpt, please set it as featured image for each post. Or, you can install the Advanced Excerpt plugin to keep HTML markup in your excerpts.

    Or you can select the option “Content” instead of “Excerpt” in Theme Options and then manually split the post entries using the More tag. With the option “Content”, all HTML elements will stay preserved.
