Excerpt not displayed

Botiga theme has an option for excerpt visibility that is located under the Appearance menu > Customize > Blog > Blog Archives > General > Show excerpt.

Perhaps it is currently being disabled on your site? Please confirm.

Please try enable it and run your check.

Thanks Kharis, I turned it off and on again and unpublished and republished and that seemed to work.
