Excerpt length option and excerpt post field

  • Hi and thank you for this great plugin.

    The issue: When using excerpt field in post editor, whole excerpt is shown, with no regard to “excerpt length (in words)” option in widget area. I would like to shorten that excerpt because of final height of widget, and I need full lenght excerpt for my EasyRotator plugin.
    Can you help me solve this issue?

  • Thank you. Unfortunately WordPress excerpt functions don’t provide the ability to do this.

    When you specify a custom excerpt, that overrides any excerpt length set by the widget.

    I might be able to modify the function in a future release.
