Excerpt length change not working

    Hi, this happens on every site I have used the plugin on. The plugin works really well and I use it often, but you cannot change the excerpt length. IT stays stuck at 50 characters whatever I do. It is not being over ridden by the manual excerpt and I have the cache turned off. There is no cache on the site as it is in development too.

    The read more text changes, but the length doesn’t. This is annoying as I have to add all excerpts in manually every time.

    Hey @bridgetdesigns!

    Is there a theme or plugin, aside from ours, that is common to all of the sites you are building?

    If you create a test site using a default WordPress theme such as 2017, do you see the issue?

    We are unable to reproduce this issue in testing, however I’ve had other users using customized or custom built themes who do occasionally have this issue. I’ve never received a clear response as to their solution, only that they eventually change something on their end to fix it. So, I’m super curious to know the source of the issue. So, if you’re able to share more information with us about your websites, and whether or not the problem exists on a clean install with a default theme and our plugin, that would be very helpful!

    Hi @richardgabriel, thanks for getting back to me. That is interesting. I build my sites using a basic skeleton theme as a base that I built my self, based on wp Underscores. So they all have a similar base. I tend to use a few set plugins on a lot of sites too. I will test with a clean install and see what happens and try to track back from there.
