Excerpt length blogposts and title

Hello,

1.-
on my homepage I show my latest blogpost. Underneath the thumbnail the title and an excerpt is displayed. As you can see, the excerpt displays the title again, is there anyway to delete this?

2.-
is there a way to make sure that every excerpt has the same length? Because sometimes they get longer or shorter, and then de rows aren’t straight anymore. You can see this very good on an iPad in portrait mode.

3.-
I also would like to know how I could copy the overview of blogpost to every post, so that if you read a post you can select an new one immediately. I read about shortcodes, but I guess it would be easier to copy the code that is already used on the homepage, since the styling would stay the same.
