excerpt issue:

Hi.

Can you let me know what is the use of ” add to excerpt content ” in Content?
I tried both checking and unchecking it. But did not find any difference with the option.

What is the use of this button?
What happens if i enable it or what happens if i disable it?
please reply in detail. I m really confusing in it.
