Excerpt instead of full content?

    Hi,

    Is there an option to use the excerpt from a post in the feed instead of the full post content?

    I know that the excerpt gets displayed in the <description> section, however, campaign monitor only lets me pull from the <content:encoded> section.

    Can I update the feed with the plugin so the excerpt goes into the <content:encoded> section?

    1. added – show short content in description field (using get_the_excerpt function) where excerpt is missing
