• I want to put an excerpt of the testimonials in the sidebar widget, but I want to show the full testimonials on the pages. I tried this shortcode in my page:

    [testimonial_rotator id=489 format="list" paged="1" limit="5" show_size="full"]

That didn’t work. So I thought maybe it was a case issue, and tried:

    [testimonial_rotator id=489 format="list" paged="1" limit="5" show_size="Full"]

That didn’t work either. The page still shows excerpts only, with the ‘Continue Reading’ button, which I find incredibly distracting there. Can you tell me what I’m doing wrong? Or is this not possible?

You can view the page at:

    https://aysr.wakemeupbeforeyoulogo.net/testimonials/

Also, any idea why the heading says “Blog Archives”? (My page title is “Testimonials” as is my menu title.)

And one last question: Is there a setting I can add in the shortcode to display the testimonials alphabetically in the page view?

    Thanks for your help!

Would sure appreciate your help on this… pretty please?

    Thanks,

    Hi Terry,
I’m experiencing same similar issues to yours. I had a look at your link and you seem to have managed to get it working. How did you manage to get excerpts only in your list with a Read more button both in your side bar and actual testimonial page.
I see the support is non-existent by the author.
    Many thanks in advance,

@typotamer It looks like another plugin or your theme is probably causing the ‘read more’ issue in the list. show_size=”full” lowercase should do the job but I wound venture that the social media plugin might be hooking into the function we use to display content and adding extras like the share buttons and read more.

If you remove that plugin I would be interested to see what happens.

By default the archive.php template is used from your theme. If you want to create a new one and change the Blog Archives text, you’ll most likely need to duplicate that template and create an archive-testimonials.php template. Then just change the text as you need.

    Hope this helps.
