Excerpt in Description pulling in DIVI Builder code

    When using the Excerpt snippet in Yoast for pages and posts created with Divi Builder, the generated excerpt contains Divi Builder code. For example:

    [et_pb_section fb_built=”1″ _builder_version=”4.9.7″ _module_preset=”default”][et_pb_row _builder_version=”4.9.7″ _module_preset=”default”

    Is there any kind of fix for these auto-generated excerpts? Thank you.

    Yoast version 16.6 and Divi version 4.9.7.

    When you say the excerpt snippet in Yoast for pages and posts created Divi Builder outputting the shortcodes, do you mean the %%excerpt%% template variable? Do you see the relevant shortcodes inside the Yoast SEO snippet preview or those appear in the front end part of your website as well?

    Hello, thanks for getting back to me. Yes, when usin the %%excerpt%% template variable, Yoast appears to be grabbing the DIVI Builder code instead of the page text in the Preview Snippet:

    It appears the DIVI code is only showing in the preview and isn’t being used in the actual Meta Description content on the page, however:

So, we’d like you to please submit a proper bug report with all the information that you have shared with us including the relevant screenshots directly to our GitHub development repository so our development team can look into this further.
