Excerpt ! if exists !

  • hi all
    is there any way to have excerpt if the field is filled in writing ?!
    i mean any way to show the excerpt if is exists not a excerpt of the main content !

    By default the excerpt is the first twenty words. There is away to create a custom excerpt though, as I have seen https://www.thunderbyrd.net/
    doing it.
    You could ask him for the details, he is a great guy and he should respond.

    i mean is there any way to show the excerpt only when that is typed in writing ( not the first twenty words) or not !
    just like a simple if there is show else dont show ! ??
    but may be difficult !
    and now any way to add another field (with or without formatting) to writing may be usefull !
