    There’s no real easy way to do that. You could modify the post_email function to send an excerpt instead of the $post->post_content, but you’d have to build the excerpt yourself there, since $post->post_excerpt is not automatically populated with the auto-generated excerpt.

    Any idea how to build the excerpt code there?
