Hi… when I enter an Exceptions or Holidays closure date it doesn’t seem to want to change the information on the site and is still listing the regular hours for that week.

Same thing happens when I try to use Temporary Closure instead. I’m currently using the “[open]” short code to display. Is there something I’m missing to add to the short code to display the temporary closures?

Also, no matter what I do, there is only a small space between days and hours. Is it something within my CSS that’s in conflict with the plug in?

Lastly, i’d like to make a request to have an additional field so we could do something like:

    Thu: 9.30am – 6pm
    Fri: 9.30am – 6pm (By appointment only)

@kwinter166 Thanks for getting in touch about this. I will check your post in more details in the morning.

Just to confirm, you’re just using the base shortcode without any parameters?

Thank you. Yes… just the base short code. At the moment I’m working on a localhost, so the project isn’t live, or planning to go live any time soon. So it’s not super urgent.

Also, I added “th.day-name { padding-right: 25px; }” to my own CSS file and that fixed the spacing issue.

@kwinter166 The table styling will be affected by your theme’s CSS, so you may need to modify this a little to have it appear just as you want.

The opening hours are affected by page caching and previous HTML will appear when caching is active. Generally with the issues here, do you have a caching service and have you cleared the cache after making these changes?

There are ways to side-step this, but I only recommend refreshing the data automatically if the appearing changes frequently (such as the current open day or one of the other shortcodes).

Please let me know if caching is the problem here?

ARRRGHHH!!!!! @designextreme solved just like that! Yes… I had Total Cache activated. I deactivated it and the hours updated correctly.

Sometimes it’s the simplest solutions that are overlooked! Especially when brains get fried staring at code all day.

    Thank you!

    Actually… one more related question.

If, for example, we wanted to list a closing day such as a holiday like Christmas, or Christmas Eve, etc…

I only see the option to choose for the current year. Is there a way to set it to recurring every year?

@kwinter166 Well done with figuring out the issue!

With the special opening hours, I have a limit of one year into the future to avoid a potentially excessive use of this functionality (e.g. settings hundreds of separate special opening hours may cause issues).

I will look into a compromise such as either 20 or less special opening hours with a limit of 3 years or more than this with the limit of a year.

I don’t have any code to support particular days each year as this will require an additional section or new functionality to replicate opening hours (which I am considering). I’ll post an update when new functionality exists – this way you’ll be able to have more of a “hands-off” approach that may suit your business.

Hello, I have an issue with Exceptions or Holidays as entries I added do not store, despite I saved those. I have no issue with “regular” hours.

@chrisfrom75 Are you using the most recent version of the plugin?

If yes, what version of PHP are you running – there was an issue with PHP 8.0, but this is now fixed.

Also, are the entries for different dates (from today onwards)?

I’ve just installed it today. So I guess it’s the last version (Version 1.27). PHP Version is 7.3.5.

I have no issue with “regular” hours of the weeks, it’s only the “Exceptions or Holidays” ones that are not saved.

@chrisfrom75 Thanks for answering the questions.

I have tried to replicate this issue with the latest version, but it is still running correctly in the browsers that I performed the tests.

May I ask what browser you are using? And, if you know how to use the browser’s console, do you see any errors appear when attempting to save?

If you would like me to investigate further, please drop me an email at wordpress dash plugins at designextreme dot com.

    Thanks

I use Local app (localwp.com) on MacBook Pro 2019, and Safari (Version 14.0.3 (16610.4.3.1.7). I see no particular issue regarding my setup. I will email you directly. Thanks ??

@chrisfrom75 It appears to be your version of Safari that’s not presenting you with the date input. If it appears as a text input please use the format: YYYY-MM-DD (e.g. 2021-05-11).

I’ll see if this applies to all versions of Safari for Mac…
