Exceptional Migration Experience

I will be honest: Migrating websites always causes anxiety in me. I’ve migrated scores of sites, but each time I find myself imagining the worst case scenario that requires me to spend hours restoring a site from a migration gone awray.

My first experience with BlogVault was on the WPEngine network. They offer an integrated BlogVault migration tool. I was immediately impressed with the ease of process. Needing to move a client’s website back to their GoDaddy hosting, I started looking for a plugin. I’ve used Updraft migration tool and found it to be unnecessarily complicated and without sufficient documentation. After a quick search I saw Migrate Guru and, more specifically, saw that it was powered by BlogVault. It couldn’t have been simpler. Install on the origin server/wordpress, configure destination sFTP credentials, and click Migrate. It even changed the URLs for images, etc. in the database.
