• Hello,

I hate to post this issue as I am sure you have seen in numerous times because I have read many posts on the issue but cannot seem to find a resolution that works (for me).

I recently duplicated a clients WordPress website from one domain to another. The process worked perfectly (as it has many times) except as it relates to NextGen (version 2.0.66.37).

When the NextGen plugin is activated, all pages in the website redirect to the home page.

When I try to go to Gallery > Other settings, the error “Exception thrown not defined for ExtensibleObject” occurs.

When I go to Gallery > Gallery Settings… I do see that the Basic Compact Album settings are pointing at the original plugin location. If I try to change it, it redirects to the home page. The setting gets saved but all the other problems still occur.

When I deactivate the NextGen plugin… the site works perfectly except, of course, the albums and galleries do not display.

I attempted to remove all galleries and delete the plugin all together and start fresh. However, there must be database setting somewhere that doesn’t get removed because even a new installation of the NextGen plugin does not solve the problem.

All of these same problems occur regardless of the theme being used – even the new TwentyFifteen.

Sorry for the length of the post but I did want to be as accurate as possible.

    Thank you for your help.

@hixsonb – If you have access to the Reset Option under Gallery > Other Options, give that a try. If that does not work, you may need our external Reset Tool plugin.

Please send us a Bug Report (https://nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/) and ask us to send it out to you.

    Thanks!

@hixsonb – Your best bet would be to follow-up in the Bug Report conversation rather than splinter it across multiple points.

    Thanks!

    Please help,
I downloaded next gen gallery plugin and I cannot enter my website, nor the dashboard or anything.
After installing, when activating it gave the me the message
    Exception thrown

    not defined for ExtensibleObject
Then I went to ‘back to installation’ and it happened again.
then I closed the tab (by confusion I think) and every move I made to enter the site ended up with the same error message

I’m a bit desperate, have been working on this site for 3 weeks now.
So please help me find a solution.

@koen sweelssen – I believe we are already working together via a Bug Report; otherwise, please start your own topic so we can try to help you with your specific issue on your specific site.

    Thanks!

I resolved it. I just could not login in wp login after I installated this plugin.

So through ftp I deleted nextgen plugin and changed plugins folder and renamed it plugins-deactivated. So I just enter in backend panel and renamed plugins-deactivated in its original name. I just activated again all plugins and my website run again.

I think that before to release an update it should be very important very important to consider any bugs. Otherwise it’s a problem for all people using this new nextgen plugin version.

@phier – We suspect a plugin activation order conflict … we are still looking into this specifically and it only appears to be happening with one specific plugin (which we are not willing to disclose at this time until we have further proof). Please keep in mind, if this is an activation order conflict it will be safest to deactivate all plugins before updating NextGEN Gallery until this can be resolved (and may still require it in some cases).
