@terry Rich – The temporary site does not seem to be completely resolving which would cause untold issues with many different things.

I would try looking at this using a default WordPress Twenty series theme to see if the problem continues.

    Thanks!

@photocrati – Yes the problem did continue when I chose WordPress Twenty Fourteen as the default theme.

I then did a manual reinstall of WordPress, replacing the wp-admin and wp-includes directories (with plug-ins disabled).

Many issues have been resolved as a result of the reinstallation, but not the NextGen gallery problem. I reinstalled the basic NextGen gallery and still get the Exception thrown Error Message.

Looking forward to your reply. Thank you.

    Hi,

I’m getting the “Exception thrown not defined for ExtensibleObject” error in my WordPress Dashboard for the Gallery > Manage Albums and Gallery > Other Options pages. The problem started immediately after I upgraded to 2.0.66.27 from 2.0.66.??. I’m running WordPress 4.0 and cleared my browser cache since having the problem.

The only reason I upgraded in the first place is to see if it would sort out a problem with Foobox no longer appearing in my Lightbox effects list (even though it is enabled in Foobox Settings: NextGen V2 Galleries). Now I can’t even get to the Light Effects list to see if it’s there.

    Any suggestions?

    I googled this search string

nextgen gallery exception thrown error message

and found several results related to nextGEN Gallery. There are so many possible reasons this is occurring it seems difficult to isolate the cause. However, it is possible that the problem is in the NextGEN Gallery code somewhere.

@terry Rich – In rare cases, NextGEN Gallery will have issues with temporary addresses as you appear to be using, are you seeing this anywhere else where the TLD is fully resolved?

@tonyhodgson – I have seen Foobox (unknown version, I don’t recall) integrated into NextGEN Gallery 2.0.66.27, that being the case I would think it would also be best for you to start your own topic so we can look at your specific issue.

    Thanks!

    Hi All,

Just like to share, basically i’ve experience same issue before with nextgen and was able to resolved it. to those who are running WP with custom themes, make sure <?php wp_head(); ?> and <?php wp_footer(); ?> are in proper places.

@vrsotto – Thanks for the input, those two function calls should be standard in all themes and NextGEN Gallery does rely on them being included.

    – Cais.

yes I am currently having the same problem.
