It actually works!

I had to shutdown account access to the two mediawiki sites and dozen WordPress sites that I manage, simply because Captcha and other tools did not work reliably. I re-enabled account creation on the mediawiki sites, using Cleantalk, about a year ago and it has rejected spam account registrations for over 1,800 accounts on one and 3,800 on the other!

I’ve seen the same type of results on my WordPress sites, averaging above ten spam rejections for every real registrations. Non-spam accounts are cleanly created without any hassle. For example, one board had 20 accepted to 383 rejected in the past year.

No spam at all on my boards! I love it and highly recommend it.
