Excellent Plugin – Superb Support

I got this plug-in for the purposes of inserting daily quotes on my website. Initially I had trouble getting the posts to display, but with help from the author’s plug-in that problem was quickly resolved. It was not a problem with the plug-in, but rather my incorrectly configuring the actual quote. Turns out that I misunderstood the help page (visual examples of how to setup quotes would be good) and was leaving a full space between quotes. By doing this, it caused certain days to display nothing – the empty space being used as the quote.

One minor issue with the plug-in that is acknowledged by the author, and stated clearly in the documentation, is related to using 366 days (accounting for leap-years). To display quotes with dates this causes a bit of a problem – meaning currently the need for manual intervention at some point to include February 29th. (The author hinted at possibly correcting this minor problem in a future update).

Other than that, it’s a great plug-in (even supporting HTML Markup code) – and this plug-in and such great support all provided for free, there’s nothing to complain about!

Highly recommended (especially for quotes not requiring dates; although, if you don’t mind the work around, then displaying the date with the quote is not an issue).
