Excellent plugin – but countdown needs VPN in China

Hello team,
This is by far the best plugin I have tried, but the countdown may be using a server that is blocked by the PRC.
Without my VPN, the clock is all zeros. If I route through the VPN it works like a charm.
Other plugins have working countdowns – is there a fix you can think of?
At the moment, I can’t use it as my target audience is mainly China at this time. ??
