Excellent plugin, brilliant support – solved grey thumbnail issue

  • I was using a paid video background plugin previously which ultimately proved really limiting. Switched to the free version of ARVE which worked great then to increase my site speed I upgraded to Pro mainly for the Lazy Load option. This made a big difference to load times especially for YouTube videos. At first I had an issue with the video thumbnails all reverting to a grey image. Contacted plugin author and quickly heard back with advice to look into possible CSS conflict. This was spot on. My hosting optimization plugin was combining CSS files together and turning this off solved the problem.

    This a great plugin and thumbs up too for the support – obviously a creator that cares sincerely about the quality of their work.

    Thanks so much for the kind words. And for sharing how you solved it. Many people just go “I fixed it, bye”.

    It’s probably because of micro optimization I have done in ARVE that end up loading the CSS only when it actually needed at the end of the <body>. The plugin that combines CSS may not be handing that correctly (but it should. This is just a guess).
