Excellent plug in

  • This is an excellent plug-in, five-stars now it attributes the photographer in the Caption field. (It would still be cool if it hyperlinked to them as well!) But all in all a brilliant plug-in, 100% recommend. Very easy to install and use, it works instantly.

    Hi @istara Thanks for the review!
    Currently, Instant Images adds the photo attribution to the Media Title field in the WordPress.
    Can you see this screenshot?

    Do you feel like the attribution should be in another field or is there more attribution I should be adding.

    It would be great if the attribution could instead/also be in the caption feed, hyperlinked if possible. See here for an example of how the Unsplash plug-in does it (Imgur gallery of three screenshots).

    I feel it’s easier to delete it if people don’t want it, than to manually add, and it probably encourages more people to (albeit passively) include attribution, which is nice for the photographers.

    I suspect that the Unsplash plug-in may end up abandonware now they’ve been bought by Getty, so your plug-in is going to be the primary and best way for people to get images.

    @istara Adding a link is a nice touch. I’ll do this.
    I don’t totally love the idea of making this the caption though so I’m going to consider this.

    @istara I added a photo attribution option to the latest version. When selected the caption is populated with with details on the author.

    Hope this suits your needs.
