  • The WP Simple Firewall part is crippling my site speed – is there any way to minimize that without having to switch off the firewall? And if not, how useful is the plugin without the firewall (or should I find an alternative plugin?)

    Can you narrow down the performance issue to a particular module of the plugin? Try disabling them one-at-a-time until you notice something different.
