Excellent generator, very easy plugin

  • It’s unbelievably easy… once you figure out how it’s working and what it’s doing. That was the only glitch is that there’s no instructions. Might I suggest to the Developer writing even some simple ones?

    I found the plugin after I had found the Generator site. I installed the plugin, hoping there would be a way to upload / add the links into the head through the plugin. When I saw that it was redirecting me to the Generator site, I almost gave up, because I’d already done that. Luckily I stayed with it, and found the plugin took me back to my admin dashboard and “installed” the favicon/Apple icons.

    Regarding the instructions, I suppose you were expecting a kind of dialog box like “Now that you have activated the plugin, click here to setup your favicon”, is that right?

    Regarding the redirection, yes, that can be confusing. This should change, but not in a near future.

    Actually I believe there’s already something that says that in the interface. What was missing was something along the lines of “You’ll be redirected to the website to create your favicons, and then back to the dashboard.”

    And it might just be me, because I had been to the website (and used the generator) first, before I knew you had a plugin for it. My first thought was “Oh great, now I have to create the favicons (which I did) and then still figure out how to install them/get the code into the head on the site.”

    Just a few words knowing that the plugin would automatically install them for me would be nice. I know it seems obvious that it would, but I’ve run into many plugins that did things halfway, so I never assume unless it’s spelled out.
