Excellent Contest Plugin!

I’ve run half-a-dozen contests now for various web properties we own. Usually it’s MINIMUM $100 per contest, and the functionality is extremely wonky (i.e. it won’t do what I want it to do).

Enter Rafflepress…

First of all, simply HAVING a lifetime purchase option is HUGE! We’ve found viral contests to be a great way to get leads, but the cost was always a deterrent. Now it’s a decently big charge up-front… but then it’s paid for FOREVER. It allows us to do all sorts of things with lead gen and customer retention we’ve wanted to do for years.

Secondly, everything works really smoothly. No need to provide a bunch of extra info, make a video, get all kinds of graphics, etc. It’s just set up the integrations you want (even with a “zap” if you have some exotic platform), and then let it loose.

Very easy to run facebook ads to a decent prize and build a list up right away.

It seems like most people complain about the price in their negative reviews. Might I suggest if that’s the case, they spend tens of thousands of dollars to develop a competing plugin and simply give it away? If that’s a better business model, then that company should do gangbusters as well!

Sarcasm aside, you get what you pay for. I’m sure there are “budget” or “free” contest plugins out there that can work okay for many folks. But if you’re serious about building an email list with contests, I’d highly recommend paying a little bit of cash and getting Rafflepress!
