excellent but ugliest mobile app UI
-
While we’re convinced the plugin is absolutely excellent and with all the features it offers probably the best two-way authentication plugin available for WordPress… we’re sorry but the UI and design of the accompanying smartphone app is simply too ugly and tasteless to associate to our brand. We are a webdesign company running a little over 1.000 WordPress websites, all with multiple users, both on our side and on client side. We’re really sorry but there is simply no way we’re going to ask our clients to install this app on their smartphones. There are other similar solutions with less features but that will do just fine for our needs AND which have a smartphone app with a beautiful UI (colors, design, …).
Our customers became our customers and picked us to design their websites because they love our work and love everything we bring or show them. Our own website, their websites, our business cards, our invoices, our brochures, presentations, offices, … everything looks sharp, minimalistic, tasteful, well thought and, well.. simply sexy. We simply can’t afford to throw away this image by forcing them to install and use the miniorange app which is just minimalistic, but none of all the rest. Sorry.
Now please, understand that obviously the only reason we’re taking the time to write this review is because we truly appreciate this solution’s ease-of-use and numerous features and endless customisation options and because we realise there is nothing that even comes close, at least not that we’re aware of. But we just hope that the Miniorange developers will hear us, recognise the smartphone app needs a serious refresh (aesthetically i mean), and do what’s necessary. In the mean time we’ll have to look elsewhere i’m afraid.
