Hi @johanneseva,
I appreciate your kind words a lot. I’m well aware of your first critical point which causes several documentations links to be sent to nowhere. The reason this fix takes so long is that I’d like to implement all my free plugin details, which include documentations, code snippets and so on my private website. But this site isn’t done yet since I’m quite busy with c projects. Somehow I must pay my bills, eh?
In the meantime, I can add an old screenshot of my website that shows the documentation. However, I’m a bit reluctant to do this because a) it’ll be in JPG or PNG format and won’t allow users to copy code areas and b) some of the information might be outdated by now.wes
The post IDs setting tells Secondary Title to only display the secondary title with posts matching the entered post IDs. Doesn’t this work on your site?
In my opinion, the priority of the filtering settings isn’t that complicated at all. Say you select the “Books reviews” category and leave the rest blank. This will result in Secondary Title to only show the secondary title in posts which are in this category.
Now, if you add a single post ID of a post that is not within the “Books review” category, it will only show the secondary title in the post containing the entered ID. In my case, this isn’t much confusing since the description clearly says that only the posts containing this ID will be displayed, regardless of other filters.
To say it in one sentence: The post ID filter overwrites all other filters. I was under the impression that this, combined with the description below the input field, is enough to make users aware of what the result will look like. But apparently, for some users, including you, this seems to be not so clear as I had intended.
I’d love to hear your suggestions on how to handle this particular issue. If it seems convincing, I’ll add it to the next version.
One more thing: I’ve sent you an email via your uxul.net address. If you have time, please read it and get back to me privately.
