• Excellent plugin, but I’m not really sure if it is faster with the offloading as I now can see the images “appear” in the browser (before they just were there). But on the other hand I have some issues when the site is under heavy load (multi site) and I think that in extreme cases the CDN will improve loading times but when there are fewer visitors I’m not 100% sure which is fastest (local cache vs CDN). I run cache with CDN too of course ??

    I didnt run a pagespeed insights before/after, also I dont know if the CDN is “on demand” (when are they loaded to the CDN?). One of my sites has about 4000 articles with maybe 4-5 pictires in each.. The others have much less, maybe 140 in one of them and maybe 400 in one (3-4 images in each).

    I think the HTTP offload is the most important factor of the CDN for me though, as a webserver can only handle so and so many request per second and with CDN I can then minimize this quite a bit.

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

    Thanks for the feedback!

    It might be worth running some tests to understand what’s going on here. Loading times can vary depending on your connection, and how far you are from the closest CDN location, but we’d be happy to run some tests with you! Feel free to send us an email with more details about your site.

    Images are cached by Photon the first time anyone (a visitor or a bot) accesses a post including the image.

    Hi, I checked google Page speed the day before and it has decreased the times. I guess I just had everything in my local cache before.

    Hi Jeremy,

    I know this is a different thread but i have to get your attention somehow. I’ve been using jetpact for a while and i know how much of a great plugin it is.

    I am currently having issues activating it on a new wordpress site it keep giving me this error

    WordPress.com is currently having problems and is unable to fuel up your Jetpack. Please try again later.
    Error Details: 0

    I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times.

    Any thought on how to get me pass this

    thanks

    @phantomsailor, look in this thread:

    You should enable the debug, also there is a different section for support ?? (
