    I think you are using Excel IQY. If the URL to fetch the data is longer then 255 characters it will fail. I can’t tell if that is the case here or not. Can you should the text content of the .iqy file?

    Yes I’m using the Excel IQY.

    When you do an IQY export, the browser downloads a .iqy file. For you, this might be automatically opened by Excel. So the file might be in your downloads folder.

    The .iqy file has some information to tell Excel what URL to request data from your WordPress site. Excel should ask you to input your WordPress username and password so it can retrieve the data. But if your WordPress has a plugin that requires more than just username and password to login, then Excel will not be able to login to get the data. Perhaps that is the problem you have.
