    Hi there.

    Thanks for reaching out to us. When you access the template file in our documentation, it will open it in the same tab of your browser.

    So, all you need to do is copy that URL: https://wpdatatables.com/sample_files/employees.json and create a table linked to an existing data source. Then, paste this URL and apply. It will generate the file.

    We just tested it out, and it is working fine.

    Sorry for the late response. We never received a notification you replied.

    We did not change anything, so perhaps there were some extra characters left in the URL when you originally copied the link.
