• I just wanted something simple that could have front end submissions for my non-profit community. This plugin does exactly that without all the complicated back end garbage and overly complex ticketing/booking stuff that I don’t need.

    The only catch… With the free version, anyone on the internet that visits my site can add, delete, and modify entries if I have ‘allow edition’ selected. Without it selected, none of my site subscribers (including me) can make any changes on that front end.

    {Edit – I bumped it up one star because I felt only 3 wasn’t enough.}

    Hi,

    In that case you should put the public calendar in an access protected page and the calendar will inherit the permissions of that page.

    Brilliant – Of course the default settings for WordPress are either Private for me only (not my users) or public. However I’m using a community plugin that allows me to redirect anyone who is not logged in, to the log in page when they try to view the calendar.

    It’s a nice work around that depends on an additional plugin. I would like the entire calendar to be viewable by the public but editable by my members, but this works for now. Thank you.

    I hope you’ll consider making this option available in the free version.
    I have tried a LOT of other calendar plugins and this is the only one that comes close to exactly what I need, even though most of the advanced features I’ll never use.
